At Alive Chiropractic, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and a smooth experience for all our clients. To ensure fairness and efficiency for everyone, we have established the following policies:
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
24-Hour Notice Required
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
This allows us to offer the time slot to another client in need
Late Cancellations and No-Shows
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without any notice, will incur a full charge.
This policy applies to all non-emergency cancellations.
Emergency Exceptions
We understand that genuine emergencies or unavoidable situations may arise. In such cases, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will evaluate your situation to waive any fees.
Late Arrivals
Arriving Late (Within Appointment Time)
If you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you within the remaining time OR – if the next client is already waiting – assign your slot to the next client. This means you may have to wait a few minutes to avoid disrupting other appointments.
Arriving Late (Exceeding Appointment Time)
If you arrive so late that the appointment cannot proceed, we will still try our best to accommodate you, but it some cases it will be considered a no-show, and the cancellation policy will apply.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment Due at Time of Service
Payment for all services is due at the time of booking, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Prepaid Packages and Deposits
Prepaid packages and deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to rescheduled appointments if cancelled within the 24-hour window.
Should the client decide to pause or interrupt care, any unused sessions within a prepaid package will be refunded. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be processed within 30 days of the request.
Direct Debit Arrangements
Clients who choose the direct debit option for payments retain full control over this arrangement. Direct debit agreements do not bind the client in any way and can be adjusted or paused at any time.
Maintenance clients, or those who wish to temporarily pause payments due to holidays or other personal reasons, are welcome to contact the clinic for assistance in modifying or suspending their direct debit arrangements. Our team will be happy to support you in making these changes.
Respect for Staff and Other Clients
Behavioural Expectations
We ask all clients to treat our staff and other clients with respect. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in refusal of service.
Cleanliness, Hygiene and Illness
For the safety and comfort of everyone, we politely ask clients to adhere to basic hygiene standards before arriving for appointments.
If you are ill, have the symptoms of a cold/flu or any other contagious illness, do not come to the clinic. Call to re-schedule your appointment and rest assured you will not lose your session.
Confidentiality
- All client information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with privacy laws. Your trust is important to us.

Been with Dr Edo since he began in Poundbury and have been so happy I walked in his door .He explained what and how he was going to help me , had an extensive treatment period to begin with and then became a monthly visitor .He has been so much help to me over this time and I would recommend his gifts to everyone.A truly lovely man and gifted communicator and practitioner.If in pain go and give him a try , living in a body that feels like a prison is no fun but this guy has the keys to set you free!

I have just completed an intense package of chiropractic correction treatments and had some deep tissue massage therapy into the 2nd Month, I can honestly say what a huge difference it’s made to me, my alignment pre and post treatment has been significant!I am sleeping more comfortably again, my walking has improved too, my confidence has improved, I was treated with great respect. I have learnt new exercises which also has helped thanks to Ed owner of Alive chiropractor and Phil too for his excellent deep tissue massage therapy. I cannot thank them both enough, I feel like a new person!I’ve now signed up for a regular maintenance programme. Thank you both very much, it’s very much appreciated.

Highly recommended! Certainly knows his stuff and offers a comprehensive treatment plan with extra exercises to complete at home to increase the progress of treatment. I am 6 months pregnant and he was able to really help with problems with my back and posture

Having attended Edo's practice for the past 3 weeks, I can already feel a marked improvement in my posture & alleviation of my lower back pain.He certainly has 'healing hands'.Clearly passionate about his profession, not only does his treatment keep you supple. He also gives plenty of advise & exercises to keep yourself active.The waiting room area is that of peace & tranquility with soothing background music.There is ample free parking.You've nothing to lose but everything to gain if you want to stay fit, healthy and active.I highly recommend his expertise & personalised approach.

I have been a patient of the Alive Chiropractor clinic for the last six weeks. Following a stroke in March 2022 I had been suffering with a walking imbalance and general lack of mobility. After visiting Dr. Edoardo at the Alive chiropractic clinic, I booked a block booking of 12 sessions. I’ve been adjusted by Dr Edoardo for a number of years now, since I’ve been under care I’ve never had any problems but most importantly he helps me keep my nervous system healthy through maintenance care which allows me to be more in control in all of my day to day activities and keeps my mind healthy. This is my first experience with chiropractic ever, and it has been life changing! I have a slipped lumbar disc and I was in lots of pain and had very limited mobility. I saw Edo for a few appointments and not only did my back get better, it has stayed that way since! I am doing the exercises he prescribed and now I am only seeing him for maintenance and I feel better than ever, more relaxed and aware of my posture overall . He is a good listener, very informative, professional and communicative.

Dr. Edo has a very calm temperament and his knowledge aids in your own relaxation, which is a help when your own flexibility, mobility or posture are far from relaxed. Sam, the Chiropractic assistant, is the first person to greet you when you arrive and will explain the fundamentals of the practice. The practice is clean, modern and has ample road side parking. The whole experience has been a success and I am now able to move without pain, the new mobility gained will enable me to get on with life and have new experiences and adventures, for this I thank you.

I attended Alive chiropractor after seeing a special offer they were offering and suffering from a bad back for a long time it felt like a good idea to go see what they said. Since this I have been attending twice a week and the improvements are happening. Edo is very knowledgeable and really wants the best for you he doesn't just care about the back or other pains you may be having but also acknowledges the impact these things can have on you emotionally and personally. I have just finished initial treatment for my back problem. Appointments with the NHS in the past have never resulted in a diagnosis let alone treatment. However at Alive I received a diagnosis and treatment plan on the initial consultation. This set out exactly how I was going to be treated and cost. Following the treatment I could not be healthier or happier. An exceptionally professional service in which Dr Edoardo Elisei seems passionate about what he does. It is more than just a hands on treatment on his 'couch', but a full lifestyle treatment ensuring exercises and diet are in balance to assist recovery and as a preventative for the future. Edo is a great professional, very friendly and knowledgeable. He corrected my posture in only few months, he said this was going to happen and I couldn't believe it, it was so fast and happened, the changes not only I could feel them but also you can see them. He did the adjustments with a lot of care, with a lot of patience he took the time to give the advices and exercises that I could benefit my posture in the future. I totally recommend him.

When I first met Dr Ed I had problems bending, and worst of all I could hardly move my neck. I was a total painful wreck.Ed takes a very holistic approach, encouraging me to lose weight and work on different rehab exercises to reinforce the manipulations and adjustments he made.Here I am some three months on, I weigh a lot less, I have incredible flexibility in my lower back and can now touch my toes and, best of all. I have full flexibility of my neck.Eds holistic approach really works, he is very approachable and easy to chat about things with.One caveat, Ed knows when you haven't done your exercises so don't cheat. :)I cannot thank him enough for the massive improvements in my health and his encouraging me to make little changes for a healthier long term lifestyle.

I saw Edo in March and he was so informative regarding my spinal issues. I have had many treatments from him over the past few months and feel so much better and have more movement and less pain. He provides exercises for clients to help with strengthening muscles which is all part and parcel of chiropractic healing. I would recommend going to see him anytime.
